DIY Chainsaw

2008 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

Chris Morgan, 43, from Swineshead in Lincolnshire, UK, narrowly missed chopping off his penis with a chainsaw he made himself from an angle grinder and a circular saw blade. In the magazine article, we are treated to a picture of the ill conceived contraption, a horrific wound situated on his right thigh ( taken at the time of his subconscious attempt at Darwin glory), and it's proximity to his family jewels.

While attempting to cut down a tree, his magical machine hit a knot and whipped back .With no cut off - automatic or otherwise- the saw became embedded in his thigh still circulating, spitting out blood and flesh and stopped only when it got snagged up in the material of Chris' trousers.

We also are treated to a picture of his incredulous wife, a nine inch scar and a sheepish Chris holding his invention.

Surely he deserves an honorable mention. Unless his next invention receives the full Darwin honour.

I guess this guy got what he deserved for trying to save a little money on a real chainsaw... Thanks, Jenni!
