Dallas copper thief is done

2008 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

"The man, identified by police as James Buster McKay, 52, was reportedly trying to steal valuable copper cables from the live electric lines."

I read the story first on Friday at the WFAA web site, where James had gotten hit once or twice with about 7,000 volts, and had survived. (http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa080801_wz_poleman.350c6c5.html)

Then saw in today's DMN where he passed away late Saturday evening. (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/080508dnmetmanstuck.13568f6d.html)

There are more details in the two news accounts. I see several similar stories on the site, but not this one.
