2008 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A teen-ager who hit a bench with his golf club in a fit of frustration was killed on Saturday when the club's shaft broke, bounced back and pierced his heart, authorities said today. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C00E4DD153FF932A25754C0A962958260

Definitely Keep: Darwin Award
Given that this happened over 10 years ago I'm surprised we don't seem to have it in our archives anywhere. It certainly could use a better writeup but I do feel it's worthy. Thanks, DJ.

Needs a better write-up, but considering that golf clubs have been used by various hoodlums for years to beat their victims to death, this guy should have been more careful. What's the age on this guy? Teenager= 13-19. Thanks for a great story, DJ!

$5 Darwin Fish.
6" x 2.25" Silver Emblem like those commonly seen on cars
only way sexier. A cute fish, floating belly-up, illustrating
the mechanism of natural selection. Minimum order is 2.
