Desperate lover

2007 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A man (35) from Varaždin, Croatia, was banging on the doors of one building in Zadar yelling "Ivana,Ivana". It is assumed that he was calling for one student girl.

He and she came back together from a night in town, but were in a company of another male person what later proved to be a fatal addition.

When they came to her temporary home adress, she

suddenly went inside with the third person, leaving our protagonist alone outside, which obviously enraged him more than little, since he started to shout for her persistantly. And since she didn't answer him (for obvious reasons) he decided to make his own entry by breaking through the door glass with his elbow.

In the meantime, the neighbours called the cops. But the cops were too slow. Heavily injured from the glass shards that cut through his main artery in the attempt to enter whatever the cost so he could clame the girl for himself, the man bled to death in aproximately 2 min and died at the doorstep. They found him in his own blood without any lifesigns.

He learned 2 things from this incident the hard way:that hollywood scam of "common glass" breaking down harmlessly is just that and that people do have vulnerable main arteries even in their arms, whitch is amaseing he didn't know in his age.

Drunk or not he should have known better than to try to break a pane of glass with his bare hands. Thanks, Neven!
