Flying WAY Under The Radar

2007 Reader Submission
Pending Acceptance

A man in Phoenix, AZ and his buddy decided it would be nice to spend the day at the Lake. At about 8:00, one decided that it would be a good idea to fly his plane low over the water, and talk to his friend in the water with their cell phones. The man in the plane was flying about 10 feet above the water, when he told his friend in the boat to turn on his flashlight so he could see him. Flying extremely low looking for his friend, he crashed his plane into the water, right infront of the boat it was trying to locate. His friend in the boat was lucky enough to make it out alive.

Thanks, Josh, I think we have a winner! It appears the victim had 20+ years of flying experience, so there's no excuse for this sort of complacence! Fer cryin' out loud, talking on a CEL PHONE while FLYING? And TEN FEET over the water? It must have been messy! Anyway, I'll give this jamoke the full monty! Thanks for the submission, it's quite cartoony!

Wow! what an idiot! I have flown myself and one never flies that close to the water unless you are landing on the water! Thanks for the submission!
