Boy hits overpass with head

It's a Dutch news site, I'm gonna try to translate it correctly and then give more sources.

A 16 y.o. boy had been killed sunday afternoon in Utrecht (the Netherlands) after sticking his head out of the roof of a bus and hitting an overpass. This had been acknowlegded by the police on monday. The boy had died from his injuries on the bus.

The accident took place on the Brailledreef (this is the name of the street). The boy from Utrecht popped his head out of the roof of the double-deck bus when it passed underneath a fly-over.

German children participating in an exchange program were also on the vehicle.

Help

The police will start an investigation later this week. Other people that were on the bus at the time of incident will recieve help from the Victim Support Association.

I'm VERY neutral on this one for several reasons. While I certainly appreciate the English translation, there are details missing, ie WHY he did so. Nevertheless, it WAS a double-decker bus and the victim IS old enough to qualify, so I will let my fellow mods and the readers decide!

While the maturity level is borderline, just "on the cusp" you might say, this was a local boy on a local bus. You would think he would know the risk so I am going to vote for a Darwin on this one. Thanks for sending us the story, KadyKochi
