The aspiring lumberjack was trying to do a good deed by cutting down the tree behind his girlfriend's house using a little known tree-cutting tool, his pickup truck. This was a bad idea, however he ensured his own demise when he used the "pull method" with his truck which is guaranteed to work once for you and only once. The inevitable happened as the tree fell in the direction it was pulled and onto the cab of his pickup, crushing the man.

However, the man amazing survived being killed by the impact of the tree. If this man had any kind of luck this would have been a good piece of news and he would only have gone down as an honorable mention for the darwin award. However, his faithful pickup was not as fortunate as he and overheated. This caused the grass around the pickup to catch fire and the man was left trapped in the cab to wait for the fire around the truck to eventually catch the truck on fire and finally finish the job the tree had started.

While we get stories of inept tree-fallers all the time, this one at least merits consideration, because it should be obvious to anyone that something will fall towards you when it is pulled. But for some reason, I'm not entirely keen on it...
