Going out with a bang

Pending Acceptance

Siew Sohan, a 44 year old father of three, was killed when he decided to inflate the tractor tyre he had just repaired while standing on the tyre. The tyre exploded flinging him through the steel roof of the tyre shop where he worked. The local Bureau of Standards has advised that under no circumstances should any one stand on a tire while it is being inflated and that tractor tires should be inflated in a metal cage from the outside. Unfortunately a combination of overconfidence in his workmanship and an apparent lack of basic common sense has prevented Mr. Sohan from hearing (and possibly heeding) this timely advice.
