A hobby-hunter was surprised by an electrical storm - fled to his high seat (steely) an waited in his chair (also steely) for the end of the electrical storm. There was only one lightning recocnized by authority - this one lightning struck into his high seat and killed the man...

Maybe Toss: Too Common
only slightly better than the average lightning story.

I disagree with Jack, people run under trees to get away from the rain, but any fool should know that metal attracts lightning. I'm surprised they made a hunting box out of metal - all of the ones around here are made of wood.

I also agree with Charles, which is why I am saying that accidents like this are too common and not deserving of a Darwin. Whether a person shelters under the highest tree around or climbs up into a shooting platform, I say that it's too common for a Darwin Award.

Agree- Needs a better write up, and in better English as well.

It's definitely not wise to climb up onto a steel hunting platform and sit ina metal chair in the middle of a thunderstorm... but somehow this one lacks something in the humour department.
