YearlyKOS -- the convention was wonderful! Information is power. The Internet places power back in the hands of "ordinary people" who once again control our culture and politics. I was honored to join Stephen Darksyde's Science Panel, along with intelligent and charismatic General Wesley Clark, Chris Mooney, and Dr. PZ Myers.

Ron Patrick, a mechanical engineer from Stanford, affixed a jet engine to his VW Bug. He says, "The response... has been fantastic. This car attracts crowds better than any '32 Ford." An eyebrow-searing riff on the JATO legend!

Alarming thought: Anthropologist Colin Groves says, "Even today it could be possible for humans and chimps to... produce offspring, although there would be ethical problems." As well as hygiene problems, methinks. Read more...
